Want to make a real difference to people in need?
In this role as our Senior Policy Advisor, you’ll play a vital part in building our advocacy positions on issues that contribute to a just and fair society. Your well-developed research and analytical skills will help you to develop policies, briefing papers and reports that inform change. You will establish working groups, committees and partnerships that inform policy development, and take a lead role in advocating for key business initiatives.
If you have a strong commitment to social justice, with a broad grounding in social research, policy and advocacy, then this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Using your high level negotiation skills, you’ll be confident networking with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. Operating within a complex matrix of stakeholder groups (including political parties, government and parliament), your astute political judgement and influence will be second to none.
Your tertiary qualifications in social sciences, humanities, economics or a related field will come into play, enabling you to take the initiative in driving and advocating new policies. Experience in the not for profit or community sector will be of benefit but not essential – what’s more important will be your well-developed research and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
This is a unique opportunity for job satisfaction. In addition to shaping a more just and fair society, your hard work, enthusiasm and commitment will be rewarded with a competitive salary package of up to $95,000 with packaging options.
