DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a team of family workers to deliver client focused, strengths based services to children and families seeking support.
Provide supervision, case reviews and identify areas for staff skills development and training.
Work in partnership with a range of service providers and specialists, adopting a multi-disciplinary approach to service delivery.
Comply with all Family and Community Services reporting requirements for program adherence.
Prepare and maintain appropriate records and reports for FNSW and IFP program and as directed by the Manager.
Supervise the correct entry of staff time sheets and monitor leave entitlements.
Oversight of FNSW team compliance with Child Protection legislation and policy including decisions relating to mandatory reporting.
Adherence to all reporting and accountability documentation required for FNSW and IFP program guidelines (including data collection and statistics).
Conduct file audits and ensure client records are at the highest standard.
In conjunction with Manager and other Team Leaders priorities allocation of referrals.
Provide on call after hours support to the IFP families including weekends. On call allowance paid when providing after hours support.
Provide a monthly report to the Manager including:
Team caseloads, waiting list, data reporting, client allocation list, team members training and development and program updates.
Ensure strict adherence to all policies and procedures of the organisation including Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
Limit the negative aspects of conflict in the workplace by adhering to internal processes and policy regarding grievances and complaints.
Attend and participate in Management team meetings and other meeting as directed by the Manager.
Positively represent Macarthur Family & Youth Services in a variety of arenas, e.g. interagency, sector development events etc.
Maintain a safe, healthy and supportive work environment including complying with WH&S requirements and risk management.
Other activities as directed by the Manager.
