The Role
The Children and Parenting Support Service (CaPSS) at SASHS is seeking to employ a full time Lead Practitioner. This is a diverse, interesting and challenging position that delivers direct service to families as well as leadership and supervision to practitioners delivering case management and outreach support. SASHS is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced person to maintain and coordinate a range of groups, therapeutic interventions and services to families in Melton.

Specialist Competencies include:
•Knowledge of lifestyle pressures faced by people who are disadvantaged in the community and the barriers faced in achieving community engagement
•Demonstrated knowledge of theoretical frameworks that underpin attachment theory and trauma informed practice
•Understanding and application of children and family sector models, approaches, theories and practices when dealing with clients
•Ability to facilitate groupwork with a wide variety of client groups and on a wide variety of topics
•A demonstrated knowledge of current management practices and the ability to apply in the supervision of staff.

Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare or related field, a degree qualification is preferred.
Relevant experience in a social service environment.

Requirements of the role
•A national police record check
•A current and valid Working with Children Check
•A current Victorian Drivers licence would be advantageous
