About the organisation
The Victorian Public Sector Commission (the VPSC) was established on 1 April 2014 through amendments to the Public Administration Act 2004. The VPSC is headed by a Commissioner and has a range of legislated functions to achieve its objectives. These are to:
• Strengthen the efficiency, effectiveness and capability of the public sector in order to meet existing and emerging needs and deliver high quality services; and
• Maintain, and advocate for, public sector professionalism and integrity.
The VPSC has a leadership role in modelling and promoting the Public Sector Values of: responsiveness; integrity; impartiality; accountability; respect; leadership and human rights.

CORPORATE SERVICES
The Corporate function at the VPSC supports the Commission in carrying out its mission by providing a host of business services that are essential to day to day operations and decision making.
These are:
- Finance and budget management, reporting and compliance
- Coordination of input to whole of Government reporting and compliance
- Internal monitoring of progress against the Business Plan
- HR support, management and reporting
- Procurement management, advice and reporting
- Information & Records Management and support
- Website management and support
- Building and facilities management
- Whole of organization ICT management (support available from CenITex)
