Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will provide strategic leadership and inspire the 750 staff to deliver excellent programs and services which are consistent with the mission and values of the organisation and which ensure that the organisation remains financially sustainable and meets all its compliance obligations. The CEO will also be an advocate for early years learning with government, the sector and the broader community.
Candidates wishing to be considered would need attributes including:
• A track record in leading teams delivering an array of services in dispersed settings, preferably in a regulated environment
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills and the ability to work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders including sector peers, policy makers and the broader community
• A high level of comfort working to an engaged board and with a commitment to the organisations values and mission
• Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience managing budgets and developing and executing financial plans.

Exposure to or experience in the early childhood sector is desirable but not essential.
