There is a rare opportunity to join the Development team to manage both acquisition and retention campaigns that raise vital funds for their programs.

About the role

About the role

This newly created role reports through to the Head of Public Affairs and Development and leads a small team of talented fundraising professionals. The team has seasonal campaigns that target existing and new donors, with two major campaigns in the year. Having invested in acquisition in recent years, there are a lot of exciting communications opportunities to connect with supporters and manage their journey. The role provides ownership of direct marketing and creative content and requires an innovative, digitally savvy direct marketing professional who can confidently map the donor journey and enhance it.

 

Responsibilities

  • End to end management of direct marketing campaigns from concept to delivery
  • Manage digital channels for acquisition and retention including conceptualising eDM strategies
  • Team management and leadership
  • Segmentation and CRM for campaigns
  • Database analysis and recommendations for customer centric strategy development
  • Identify and evaluate emerging trends in fundraising

 

Skills and experience

  • Significant experience in direct marketing strategy development and implementation
  • High-level analytical skills and database management
  • Strong digital marketing experience with the ability to run multi-channel campaigns
  • Targeting and post campaign reporting experience
  • Experience developing campaigns for direct mail, eDM, digital and SMS
  • Knowledge of print production and management
  • Experience managing the customer lifecycle
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience introducing innovation through direct marketing
  • Team leadership experience essential
