SharingStories Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation helping Indigenous peoples
to protect, maintain and grow cultural knowledge and language using innovative digital media arts practices and platforms. We are currently looking for a dynamic and passionate Indigenous Victorian Program Manager to help us grow our work.
Following on from a strategic review SharingStories Foundation is seeking to appoint an outstanding indigenous candidate to this newly created role. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of SSF’s Victorian based program. Reporting to the NSW-based Program Director the Victorian Program Manager will be collaborative in their approach and have a proven track record in project management.
As engaging with local communities, arts and tourism centres is essential to the successful uptake and roll out of SSF projects excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are essential for the successful candidate. A self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills the successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate the ability to develop a strong presence for SSF in Victoria.
The Victorian Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the planning, implementation, and tracking of specific short-term projects including but not limited to: professional development programs and digital media tutorial development to support an ongoing digital storytelling practice for teachers, young people and community members to continue documentation/learning important cultural stories; the development of multi-touch books five bilingual/multi-lingual form, both spoken and written word, and the creation of education packages to support teachers using the cultural media resources across the curriculum. The Victorian Program Manager will also work with SSF’s Partnership Director to secure necessary funding and delivery partners for implementation of the above.
Experience in the arts or NFP sector would be highly regarded as would a relevant tertiary qualification. This role will ideally be based in Melbourne.
