About the role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible to safely transport people with a disability to and from their residences to attend our day service programs in Braybrook, according to a set daily schedule. Core duties include:
- Safely transport people with a disability to and from their residences as required by the daily schedule, providing on-boarding and off-boarding assistance and ensuring the safety and care of all passengers
- Bus maintenance including daily safety checks, minor maintenance and cleaning as required
- Administrative activities including taking daily attendance of passengers, recording information in relation to distance travelled, fuel etc, reporting of any incidents, accidents or complaints to Supervisor
Our drivers are required for morning and afternoon runs. Normal morning shifts start at approximately 7:00am and finish at 9:00am and the afternoon shift starts at 3:00pm and finishes at approximately 5:00pm, five days per week.
Our vehicles are late model Toyota Commuters and Mitsubishi Rosa buses fitted with Wheel Chair lifts.
Skills, experience and attributes
- Current Victorian drivers licence with endorsement for medium rigid vehicles
- Maintain a driver history report that is satisfactory to Mambourin
- Ability to establish and maintain communication with Participants, Parents and/or Caregivers
- Demonstrate integrity, self-discipline and professionalism
- Be honest and trustworthy.
