An exciting opportunity exists to lead and manage your team based in different geographic locations to drive Vision Australia’s Government Relations, Policy and Advocacy activities.

Integral to this role will be the need to drive and advocate in the areas of:

The organisation’s relationships and engagement with Government
Legislative and policy change in order to benefit the lives of people who are blind or have low vision
Vision Australia’s policy position into the public arena and help to build Vision Australia’s reputation and brand
To be successful in this role you will have:

Qualifications in Management, Community Services, Advocacy, Politics, Policy, Government, Law or related studies at graduate level, (or an equivalent combination of these relevant qualifications plus extensive experience)
Extensive experience and high level expertise in policy development and strategic advice to government
Deep understanding of the machinery of government
Ability to build a values driven high performing team
