The Song Room is a national not for profit organisation that provides tailored, long-term music and arts-based programs for children in disadvantaged and high need communities. About the role
The Song Room is looking for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Teaching Artist, Dancer, Singer or Musician to deliver weekly workshops at a primary school in the Sydney area throughout Terms 1 and 2 in 2018. The position will comprise working at a school one day per week with five to six classes of children delivering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture workshops.
The Deadly Arts program is an opportunity for primary students and their teachers to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Arts and Cultural practises. It is also a great opportunity for schools to learn about and connect with local Aboriginal culture.
Applicants are required to have experience facilitating workshops with primary aged children and must have a current Working with Children’s Check.
