About the organisation

Organisation Name : Brunswick Industries Association Inc

The Organisation

Brunswick Industries Association Inc is a long-standing provider of employment to people living with disabilities. Our proud 50-year history has seen us sustainably be a business servicing commercial customers across Melbourne whilst simultaneously providing a great place to work and a sense of inclusion to those living with disability in the community.
With the advent of the NDIS, there is a significant opportunity to grow and develop the business and provide the opportunity to offer the benefits of working to an even greater number of people with a disability in the community.

About the role

The Role

We are currently seeking a passionate, driven leader as CEO to take the organisation into the next phase of its journey in a new commercially focused environment. There will be a requirement to balance the demands of external business customers with the needs of supported workers using their NDIS provision funds and attend diligently to the requirements of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to a supportive voluntary Board, you will be expected to provide vision and strategy for growth with a business development and manufacturing operational focus to take the organisation forward into this exciting future.
You will be supported by a dedicated team of HR, Operational and Compliance staff who have true belief in their vocation and the inclusion for people with disability in the community via meaningful employment.

Skills Required

You will be an experienced general management professional with a desire to use your skills to “give something back” and commitment to providing a meaningful way of contribution to society and community for those living with a disability.

Degree qualified in a business-related discipline, you will be able to demonstrate previous examples of developing businesses in a commercial environment, preferably in a SME setting. You will be able to confidently discuss the current issues and opportunities facing ADEs in the Australian marketplace and have a vision of where our organisation could be taken. You will naturally be conversant with analysing financial data and confident to make recommendations to the Board when required as well as give a clear direction to the organisation internally.
Though experience in an ADE would be an advantage, it is the understanding of managing multiple income/funding streams and a pragmatic approach to growing a business in a challengingly changing environment which is paramount.

Passion and commitment to the concept of disability employment provision is a must, as is an empathetic attitude with a high EQ and a collaborative style to be able to be effective in the operation and take it to the next stage in development.
If you are capable and really want to make a difference to a valuable and worthy community organisation, then reply with your CV and a cover letter explaining your motivation and the alignment of your background to our mission using the APPLY button.
