General Manager – Geelong Mums

Full-time (38 hours per week) negotiable

About the role

Reporting to the St Kilda Mums Inc CEO, with support from the Geelong Mums subcommittee, the Geelong Mums General Manager is responsible for the growth, development and management of key working relationships to meet the material needs of families with young children through Geelong and the South West of Victoria. At all times the General Manager will adhere to the organisation’s vision, mission and guiding principles.

Key Selection Criteria

The key selection criteria for the role include, but are not limited to:

• Proven ability to manage initiatives, projects and business activity within set timeframes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to build and nurture relationships
• Experience in the implementation and ongoing review of strategic plans, business plans and budgets.
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage key stakeholders including suppliers, volunteers, social workers, trusts/foundations, meeting with trustees, major donors and philanthropists, working
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to identify and implement operational improvement.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities

About you

To be successful in this position you must hold a relevant tertiary qualification or have the skills and experience to meet the key selection criteria for the role. You will be self-motivated, creative and results driven; and have an ability to think strategically and intuitively.

The position is based in South Geelong, and may include some regional travel. As a family-first organisation, applications from candidates who wish to work part-time or job share will be considered.
