Be Centre is a leading mental health charity providing Play Therapy for children aged 3 – 12 years. The Foundation is dedicated to early intervention, stopping cycles of harm and helping children heal from difficulties and trauma by providing innovative Play Therapy and creative arts programs. They also provide support to parents, run workshops for professionals and offer an innovative holiday activity program to children in the community. The centre’s clinical staff are supported by the management and administration team as well as generous volunteers and ambassadors.

Over the past ten years, the Be Centre has successfully extended its services through partnerships and collaboration with the Benevolent Society, the Royal Far West, The Glebe TreeHouse and Deakin University. They continue to work to extend their reach, including new intensive programs for children from rural areas and developing new partnerships with organisations that support families in crisis. Their aim is to continue raising awareness with the education, medical and broader communities. A bold, longer term vision is to work within the education system to establish Play Therapy rooms in schools to support children at the local level.

Be Centre is seeking an outstanding Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strong commercial acumen balanced with empathy for the children and families to drive service delivery. Working closely with the Board, Fundraising & Development Manager, Play Therapists, and the team, you will lead the design and implementation of the strategic plan, provide leadership and identify opportunities to enhance and contribute to the overall objectives of Be Centre. You will be a collaborative and inspirational leader, with excellent people skills and the ability to engage and develop lasting positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including partners. You will be as comfortable balancing your commercial acumen, identifying and realising opportunities, with your strong, empathetic relationship skills.

This is a rare opportunity for a leader with existing corporate, government and philanthropic networks and a proven track record of running successful businesses. Your ability to raise funds and drive capital growth will be essential for success. You will have a genuine interest in, and deep engagement with the community services sector.

This role is full-time, located in Warriewood, Sydney and will require some travel.
