About the role
The Head of Fundraising is an exciting role within our Communications & Fundraising team. It is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who has significant experience in NFP fundraising and wants to contribute to our high profile, successful organisation. Reporting to the GM Communications & Fundraising and leading a team of 8, this role has the accountability for the delivery of the Foundation’s fundraising strategy.
The Head of Fundraising focuses on:
- Leading the delivery of the strategic and operational fundraising plan to meet revenue targets and increase support.
- Implementing a fundraising strategy including telemarketing, face to face, direct mail, regular giving, community fundraising, workplace giving, external events, merchandise, bequests, in memoriam and major gifts.
- Managing data analysis and insights to plan, identify and utilise market intelligence to achieve fundraising targets through a developed segmentation model.
- Leading an inspiring team in an open communication culture where goals are clear and achievable.
Experience required:
- 10 years’ minimum experience as a senior fundraiser, preferably with a qualification in marketing, sales, business and/or fundraising
- 7 years’ minimum leadership experience including effective communication, influencing skills and the ability to lead a diverse team.
- Well-developed communication skills, experience and maturity to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including volunteers, individual stakeholders and suppliers.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful fundraising initiatives, executing large projects, P&L accountability and growing fundraising revenues in a not-for-profit environment.
- Experience in ensuring fundraising compliance in all Australian jurisdictions.
- Experience using Raiser’s Edge along with strong analytical and segmentation and economic modelling skills.
