About the organisation
Our mission is to develop Australia’s future leaders in diplomacy, policy and advocacy through practical, international experience.
Global Voices is a not-for profit that identifies and develops the next generation of Australian leaders by providing practical experience in foreign policy and international relations. Since our founding in 2011, we have supported over two-hundred young people attend over fifty international summits. Our delegates attend meetings at the United Nations, OECD, World Bank, IMF and G20.
The Global Voices Scholarship Program includes a research fellowship, pre-departure briefings and an international program of practical sessions, workshops, policy exercises and institutional visits.
About the role
Global Voices is looking to fill several Director positions and are looking for individuals with the following types of experience:

Treasury Expertise in accountancy and understanding of NFP financial obligations.

Media and Marketing Professional networks and experience in Australian or international media (e.g. print journalism). Marketing or PR experience. Can provide contacts for delegate editorial submissions. Assist with securing meetings with Australian media commentators/APH press gallery for pre-departure briefings. Links to creative professionals (i.e. agencies and freelancers).

Government Relations Professional networks and experience in Australian Government. Links to relevant program institutions, United Nations, World Bank etc. Capable of assisting with Canberra and/or international meeting targets. Can provide advice on delegations and future opportunities (i.e. advice pertaining to the relevance of certain international summits, expected Government attendance, standing and reputation of international meetings).

Academics and Policy Professional networks and experience in academic and/or policy development relevant to the Global Voices program. Can provide advice and assistance in securing academic advisors. Familiar with or has expertise in program themes (e.g. gender equality, SDGs).

Corporate and Private Sector Professional networks and experience in the private sector. Links to businesses which are in line with Global Voices mission and values. Familiar with Australian Corporate Social Responsibility trends and motivations. Can provide advice on presentations and pitch documents.

Fundraising and Strategy Experienced in NFP or charitable fundraising strategy. Can leverage personal and professional networks for fundraising opportunities. Can provide advice on opportunities, challenges and trends in the Australian NFP and charity sector.

Youth and Civil Society Professional networks and experience in the Australian Youth and Civil Society Sector. Links to CSOs which align with Global Voices program and delegation themes (e.g. youth, leadership, gender, climate change, conservation). Can provide advice on opportunities, challenges and trends in the Youth and Civil Society sector.

Program Management and Development Expertise and experience in project management, procurements or logistics. Experience running workshops and professional development programs. Can assist in the improvement of program delivery in Canberra and overseas.

University and Education Sector Professional networks and experience in the Australian university and education sector. Can provide leads for potential and prospective tertiary partners. Can provide advice on opportunities, challenges and trends in the Australian tertiary and education sector.

Human Resources Professional experience managing human resources. Can provide advice on recruitment strategies and human resources management strategy.
