Ten years ago, three blokes came together to cook for the less fortunate in Sydney and the seeds of Two Good Co. were planted. In 2015, Two Good Co. was officially launched with a focus on providing good food, employment opportunities and beautiful gifts to women who are experiencing domestic violence and / or living in a women’s refuge.
Since then, the organisation has gone on to donate close to 50,000 meals and create almost 1,000 paid employment hours to survivors of domestic violence. The organisation’s success has been built on their ‘eat one treat one’ model which provides a high-quality meal for a woman in need, for every meal purchased, and now has the support of some of the most well-known chefs in Australia including Matt Moran, Maggie Beer and Neil Perry. In addition, the organisation has successfully secured multi-pronged corporate support from organisations such as Charter Hall, American Express and NAB.
More recently, NAB has committed to supporting Two Good Co. with multi-year infrastructure funding, allowing the organisation to appoint a General Manager and a Social Worker.
Two Good Co. is seeking a dynamic General Manager to support the CEO, to provide strong commercial acumen to drive and expand the organisation’s service delivery and to ensure operational excellence and efficiency across all areas of the business. In this newly created role, you will free up capacity of the co-founders and take responsibility for all financial, people and operational aspects of the organisation.
You will understand the importance of, and be committed to implementing, the organisation’s overarching strategy to ensure Two Good Co. delivers on commercial, operational and social goals. Being part of a small team, this is very much a “hands on”/problem-solving role principally focussed on oversight of all aspects of the business’ strategic plans, operational policies and initiatives; ensuring operations consistently meet the changing needs of this growing social enterprise; including financial positioning and trajectory, database and information management, digital growth, people and culture, marketing and communications.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly committed, experienced and energetic leader who will oversee the operations of the business, drive growth and expansion, and be a true advocate for the Two Good Co. You will be commercial in your approach, have experience working in small to medium sized organisations or social enterprises and will have the right ‘head and heart’ balance to ensure Two Good Co. is run strategically and efficiently to ensure maximum impact. Candidates will have suitable graduate qualifications and be familiar with Xero and Salesforce.
