About the role

Internship – a unique opportunity at Cabrini Outreach

A paid internship (12 months) is available at Cabrini Outreach. It will provide you with a valuable experience of working in a renowned institution in the international health and social services sector. The position is a unique opportunity for a young Social Scientist, Political Scientist or other graduate at the beginning of their career to gain valuable on the job training. You should expect to leave Cabrini Outreach with the skills, knowledge and experience to move into positions related to global health or community development within the NGO sector or public service.

What does Cabrini Outreach do?

Cabrini Outreach is the social services division of Cabrini Health. The mission of Cabrini Outreach is to address social disadvantage and contribute to the development of more inclusive , equitable and compassionate communities.

Our goals are to:

Deliver services within Australia that respond to unmet needs
Improve the quality of health care delivered by our international partners
Engage people in our social justice issues
Develop foundational capabilities and diversify funding streams
What will the internship entail?

The intern works under the direction of the General Manager Cabrini Outreach to support the delivery of Cabrini Outreach’s strategic plan. The intern will provide administrative support and participate in international and national development projects , gaining practical learning experience in global health , social services and policy advocacy.

The internship will be full time (38 hours per week) and based at Malvern.
