Organisation Name : Centacare Ballarat

Centacare, Catholic Diocese of Ballarat is a social welfare organisation which delivers a range of programs and services to families and individuals throughout Western Victoria.

Established in 1977 the Catholic Diocese of Ballarat opened Ballarat Diocesan Family Services Inc to provide social welfare and outreach services on behalf of the Ballarat Diocese.

In 1997 the organisation formally changed name to Centacare Catholic Diocese of Ballarat Inc. This reflected the organisations ties to the network of social welfare agencies across Australia who deliver social outreach services on behalf of the Catholic community. In 2016 the organisations structure changed to a company limited by guarantee.

With over 35 years’ experience Centacare continue to support those in need with counselling, employment, housing, family services, advocacy and outreach.

Centacare works in partnership with Federal and State governments, fellow welfare agencies, funding bodies and the greater community to deliver professional and responsive services.

Today we employ over 220 staff across Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh, Warrnambool, Geelong, Mildura, Horsham and Swan Hill.

About the role

As the General Manager, Corporate Services your role will be to effectively manage the assets of Centacare, financial, corporate and associated services and provide strategic advice as required within the framework of Centacare’s mission and vision. Providing leadership and direction across a range of portfolios including, Finance/Payroll, ITC, Marketing & Communications, Facilities & Fleet, Reception & Administration and OHS. In addition to this developing and maintaining relationships with key stake holders and strategic partners will be a key component of this role.

The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in accounting (ACA/CPA) with a strong experience in corporate finance, together with experience in a senior management and supervisory role demonstrating strong leadership qualities and experience in managing multiple programs and staff across a number of sites. Excellent communications skills and experience in establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships is also essential.

As a member of the Centacare Executive Team, the General Manager, Corporate Services will model the values of the organisation and demonstrate high standards of work performance to positively influence teams and individuals.
