About the role
The role of the SDA Resident Relations Officer is to provide person centred services to a wide range of residents, including their families/primary contact, guardians and other stakeholders, based on choice and control principles.
Your day-to-day, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Respond to telephone, written, email and face-to-face enquiries regarding all SDA residency services;
- Refer residents and their families to other services and support partners as required;
- Prepare Routine Inspection reports;
- Conduct sign-ups/transition of residents;
- Review reports on accumulated accommodation payments and determine remedial actions;
- Manage and raise service requests for repairs and maintenance;
- Address issues relating to complaints from residents, families and other stakeholders;
- Undertake resident engagement activities to support NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission standards;
- Undertake all SDA property inspections on an annual basis
About you
You will have the skills, ability and willingness to work with a diverse range of people, have a proactive approach to your tasks and possess excellent customer service skills.
You will have highly developed organisational skills, including time management skills and meeting deadlines.
Essential Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role; you will possess the following;
- Certificate IV/Diploma in Housing Services, Disability/Health/Welfare or equivalent;
- Working knowledge of disability, disability services and service provides;
- Full range of Portfolio property management duties in social housing environment or equivalent;
- Experience working in a provider of disability accommodation or tenancy services or related discipline in NDIS sector;
- Ability to work flexible hours to suite the needs of the service and the people we support. Flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel as required to fulfil the requirements of the position;
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite in particular WORD, Excel and Outlook coupled with strong grammatical and document formatting skills
- Demonstrated experience networking with other disability sector agencies and developing and maintaining close working partnerships
All candidates must be willing to undertake and pass a National Criminal History check as part of the recruitment process, have a current drivers license with a willingness to travel for business purposes and possess an understanding of issues affecting socially disadvantaged groups including those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, people with a disability and people from a non-English speaking background.
