About the role

• Passion for Storytelling

The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Australia seeks to appoint a Heritage Centre Manager to manage a newly completed Heritage Centre in Potts Point, Sydney.

The Sisters of Charity Heritage Centre will open in early 2019 and will incorporate in one facility an exhibition and the Congregational Archives of the Sisters of Charity. It will include an experiential display of key elements of the life and work of the Sisters of Charity in Australia. The key objective of the Heritage Centre is to provide a welcoming and warm story telling place which connects visitors to the history and charism of the Sisters of Charity

As Heritage Centre Manager, your responsibilities will include training staff and volunteers, developing an operational framework for the centre, utilising the software; audio and visual content to suit individual and group visitor needs, developing an ongoing promotional strategy and liaising with a broad range of community and congregational stakeholders to continually evolve the centre, and its programs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager with a passion for history and heritage and an understanding of religious life to work with the Sisters and a small and passionate team of archivists to tell the story of the Sisters and their work and provide a life changing experience for visitors.
