About the organisation
The newly created role of Business Development Manager will play a key role within Hepatitis Victoria, providing business and strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer.
About the role
About you
You have a background in business development or driving income. You’re someone who can establish rapport quickly with a diverse range of people and build long-term relationships with paying clients.
Ideally, you’ve also spent some time working in or with not-for-profit organisations.
You’re friendly, fun and work well as part of a team, but you’ve also got initiative and creativity, and you can dive in with little direction.
Most importantly, you’re passionate about our vision of improving liver health and would love the challenge of playing an important role in a growing social enterprise.
The Role
Would you like to be part of a forward-thinking organisation looking to improve liver health for the whole community? Our LiverWELL approach will provide information and support to individuals, promote liver healthy communities, advocate for investment in research, support services for those living with liver disease, and encourage improved health professional knowledge.
Liver disease affects a staggering 6 million Australians (NAFLD or fatty liver disease 5.5 million; viral hepatitis, liver cancer and associated conditions 0.5 million). More Victorians are affected by liver disease than cardiovascular disease, diabetes, kidney disease, depression and dementia/Alzheimer’s.
Liver disease can lead to cirrhosis of the liver, and liver cancer is the fastest growing cause of cancer death in Australia, with 1,400 deaths every year.
Join us to be part of this exciting health challenge!
