About the role
Reporting to the Head of Shared Services the ICT Manager is a member of the extended leadership team and is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the IT support function, operations and infrastructure. The ICT Manager will also work closely with key stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement cost-effective technology solutions, as well as advise on and implement ICT policies, procedures and best practice.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage all ICT operational activities that meet the demands and expectations of the business
- Implement an ICT business plan and develop ICT policies and procedures
- Identify and suggest cost effective process improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Perform proactive monitoring and/or maintenance of systems as required
- Regular reporting
- Budget management of the ICT department
- Vendor relationship management
- Team management
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or similar
- The ability to think on your feet and solve problems as they arise
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coach others
- Willingness to promote change
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform under direction and work autonomously
