About the role
This is a unique opportunity to make a positive difference to the psychological health and wellbeing of the Australian community in an innovative and dynamic policy environment. The Policy Officer works as part of a small team to support members in their professional practice by informing governments of the psychological evidence base and advocating for improved access to psychological services, and providing information and support materials to members to inform them of changes that may affect their practice.
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional research and problem-solving skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and an ability to interpret complex business or government policies and explain them to others. You will have proven experience in policy roles, ideally in relation to mental health or health, relevant tertiary qualifications, and an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment to deliver high quality work in a timely manner.
