We are a secular, independent provider of choice for clients and the 'go to' organisation on homelessness for government, media, philanthropy, private donors and the community.

About the role

  • Work with Melbourne’s most progressive housing and homelessness organisation
  • Great South Melbourne location close to public transportation, shops and cafes
  • Full-time, fixed term role until June 2020
  • $66,730 + Super
  • Additional Wellbeing Leave and Salary Packaging

The Group Worker is responsible for organizing and facilitating therapeutic and recreational groups for children and parents who have experienced homelessness and/ or family violence. The Group Work Program is part of the larger Children’s Specialist Support Service, and the Group Worker reports to the Coordinator of this team. This role is an exciting opportunity to create positive environments for children, and provide them with opportunities for play and learning.

To be successful in the role you will have a tertiary qualification in human services, social work or other relevant discipline and a demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems.
