About the role
The Centre for Volunteering is looking for an experienced Director: Office and People to join our team.
- 6 Month contract – Sydney CBD location (with possibility of extension)
- Dynamic role in a small, collaborative team
- $7,329 per month including super
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supervising all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of The Centre for Volunteering
- Managing the Human Resources function, which includes recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling
- Developing, implementing and advising on policies and procedures relating to staff and office functionality and efficiency.
- Overseeing and maintaining the Risk register, Compliance register and WHS register
- Providing finance administration support to the CFO including invoicing and accounts receivable/payable preparation
- Managing compliance and performance reporting to government funding bodies
- Acting as Executive Assistant to the CEO
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated experience in office management and administration or similar discipline
- Ability to provide HR support including dealing with grievances
- Ability to act as Executive Assistant to the CEO
- Ability to produce business correspondence and Board support at an administrative level with a high degree of accuracy, including Board meeting papers and minutes
- Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Intermediate in MYOB and Freshbooks (or similar accounting software)
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and ensuring compliance deadlines are met, including reporting requirements to regulatory and funding bodies
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or similar discipline and experience
