About the organisation
Centacare, Catholic Diocese of Ballarat is a social welfare organisation which delivers a range of programs and services to families and individuals throughout Western Victoria.
Established in 1977 the Catholic Diocese of Ballarat opened Ballarat Diocesan Family Services Inc to provide social welfare and outreach services on behalf of the Ballarat Diocese. In 1997 the organisation formally changed name to Centacare Catholic Diocese of Ballarat Inc. This reflected the organisations ties to the network of social welfare agencies across Australia who deliver social outreach services on behalf of the Catholic community. In 2016 the organisations structure changed to a company limited by guarantee.
With over 35 years’ experience Centacare continue to support those in need with counselling, employment, housing, family services, advocacy and outreach.
Centacare works in partnership with Federal and State governments, fellow welfare agencies, funding bodies and the greater community to deliver professional and responsive services.
Today we employ over 220 staff across Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh, Warrnambool, Geelong, Mildura, Horsham and Swan Hill.
About the role

The Manager Risk and Compliance supports and develops compliance and risk management initiatives across Centacare. The Manager Risk and Compliance, in collaboration with the Manager Quality and Research, supports and develops continuous quality improvement processes across Centacare. The Manager Risk and Compliance provides consultation, under the direction of the General Manager People and Organisational Development, provides support to the Executive and the Board on matters concerning risk management and compliance, and acts as a representative on the Centacare and Centacare Housing Board Risk and Compliance Committees.
To be considered for this position you will need to have a Diploma of Quality Auditing and/or experience in the application of CQI compliance and risk management within the community services sector.
