Ballarat & Grampians Community Legal Service is an independent not-for-profit organisation providing free and accessible legal advice, referral, casework and community legal education to people in the Central Highlands and Wimmera regions of Victoria.
About the role
BGCLS is seeking a qualified, passionate Lawyer to work in our Ballarat office. This is a part time 22.8 hours per week 6 month fixed term position.
You will work as part of a small team providing clients with relevant timely legal advice, casework and representation.
The successful candidate will be both suitably experienced and qualified possessing the qualifications necessary to practice law in the Federal Jurisdiction. Applicants must demonstrate experience working in the areas of Family Law, Family Violence and generalist civil matters with a minimum 2 years’ experience.
Hours or work may be negotiated to allow for working parents, carers or lifestyle requirements. Some flexibility with work hours may be required as various times, dependent on client and organisational needs.
