The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and the Sydney Showground. The RAS has a team of over 130 full-time staff – and an indispensable pool of casual staff - who work on the Easter Show, events at the Sydney Showground and other activities and events. The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW organises events, and competitions, acts as a guardian for the state’s agricultural heritage, celebrates Australia’s achievements in agriculture and works to promote the viability of rural communities by ensuring that Australia remains a thriving and innovative agricultural producer.
About the role
About the Role… The purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage various programs hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Foundation. This role will be responsible for the management of our scholarships and grants programs, which includes our Rural Scholarships, Sydney Royal Wine Scholarships, Sydney Royal Dairy Produce Scholarships, to name a few. As part of managing our scholarships and grants programs, you will be responsible for delivering marketing communications, advertising collateral, general administration and event coordination. This role also involves developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including scholarship and grant recipients, service providers, corporate sponsors and private constituents. You will also contribute to other educational or fundraising projects as required. This role will also see you participate in various events hosted by the RAS Foundation throughout the Sydney Royal Easter Show. About you… To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: – Bachelor degree or master degree in business or related field – Proven experience in program management and/or project management – Self-motivated with sound time management skills and ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines. – Knowledge of rural and regional New South Wales – Excellent verbal and written communication skills – Self-motivated with sound time management skills and the ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines. – Proven history of being punctual & reliable – Have superior customer service skills – Have excellent communication & interpersonal skills, – Be energetic and committed – Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and late nights as required – Have a positive “can do” attitude – Be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check at your own expense – Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia. – Be willing to undertake a police clearance check if required
