About the role
You make things happen.
An experienced Senior Program Manager, you’re a pragmatist. A ‘doer’. You see the bigger picture. You stay calm in the face of multiple deadlines; you can prioritise as you go. You thrive under pressure and your gentle but steadfast leadership presence lends itself perfectly to a supervisory role.
You want nothing more than to channel your skills and insight into something worth fighting for. A really great cause. But there’s a problem: you just can’t find one.
If this is you, then today might just be your lucky day.
Do you believe in children by choice, not chance?
We are Marie Stopes. A global organisation providing personalised contraception and safe abortion services to women and girls. Our local teams of professionals are passionate about the work they do in communities across 37 countries. The services we provide give a woman the power to choose when she has children so that she is free to pursue her plans and dreams for herself and her family.
We’re pretty proud of who we are and what we’ve achieved. But we can’t continue to do this without someone strong, dedicated and flexible to drive our projects towards completion.
That’s where you come in.
You will love this opportunity to bring your skills and drive to an organisation directly contributing to the lives of people all over the world, as you:
- Support country teams to implement project activities in line with the project design and DFAT policy and procedures
- Support country programs to leverage the MS Ladies channel to deliver on their strategic and business plans
- Lead project monitoring and evaluation, using a range of quantitative, qualitative and participatory techniques
- Relationship management and coordination with DFAT and across MSI
- Strengthen the implementation of gender programming at MSIA and Empower country programs
In this dynamic role, you’ll find yourself calling upon that extensive experience you have in managing and delivering large and complex projects. You’ll be giving your already strong leadership skills and broad knowledge of IT a workout. And you’ll also be thankful that you
can ‘talk the talk’ – with proven communication, presentation and negotiation skills – when you collaborate with stakeholders and third parties.
In return for your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with the benefits of working for a not-for-profit organisation, including salary packaging options in addition to your salary. You’ll love being surrounded by a supportive, passionate team. But most of all, you’ll love that knowledge that you’re really making a difference – and to the lives of countless people, all over the world.
