About the role

We know you’re in high demand. You could go work for a tech company, a creative agency or an advertising firm, but while you do that, Australia is set to build the largest coal mine ever and opening new oil frontiers… all whilst climate change rapidly escalates.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Program Director (Engagement), you will form an integral part of our Engagement team that promotes a modern, professional, innovative culture dedicated to a green and peaceful future. You will be responsible for the line management of 3 Digital Campaigners and the Community Engagement Coordinator.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing engagement programmes to deliver high-performing, innovative and effective digital campaigns that build power and engage supporters beyond petitions
  • Overseeing and managing the direction and coordination of digital engagement activities by Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), ensuring effective integration and liaison with Greenpeace International and other offices
  • Developing strategies to move key supporter audiences and develop messaging to move these audiences
  • Ensuring that our story is supporter-centric and inspires people-powered campaigning and individual action.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced manager, with at least 3 years’ experience managing team workflows in a dynamic digital environment. You will also have:

  • Demonstrated communications skills; consulting experience, presenting experience, copy writing roles, communications roles
  • Experience in the non-profit/charity sector
  • Demonstrated experience using analytical tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly
  • Hands-on digital/ production experience and hands-on experience using major email platform like Campaign Monitor or Autopilot (desired but not mandatory).
