ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Staples Bag is SSI’s award-winning, low cost supermarket social enterprise and provides hundreds of people in need each day with access to affordable and nutritious grocery staples. SSI has been successful in a recent grant with the Environmental Protection Agency to launch The Staples Bag Su pplier Engagement Project which aims to increase and diversify stock at our store.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
The Food Donation Officer will develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders with the goal of increasing donation of supplies for The Staples Bag. They are required to research, develop, advise upon and implement a range of innovative and effective techniques to engage communities and suppliers.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying and establishing relationships with suitable suppliers
- Executing a sound retention strategy for continued donor engagement & support.
- Monitoring and recording donated stock collection and distribution.
- Producing reports and forecasts
- Project evaluation.
