Who we are
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a not-for-profit organisation that works with partners to alleviate disadvantage – towards an Australia where all people and communities thrive. We influence systems to deliver better social outcomes for people by learning about what works in communities, helping organisations be more effective, sharing our perspectives and advocating for change.

SVA’s Connect team provides key enabling and support services to the organisation (i.e. Finance, Human Resources and Office Support). The Connect Team collectively supports all areas of the business including Consulting, Impact Investing, Ventures, Strategy and Advocacy, Marketing and Fundraising to ensure SVA’s work is consistently and professionally supported.

The Position
We have an exciting part-time opportunity for an Office Manager to support the professional management of the day to day running of SVA’s Sydney’s office. The Office Manager plays an important role in ensuring seamless operation of facilities and the assistance with coordination of organisation-wide activities and initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the primary purpose of the position is to act as the point of contact for all property requests, acts as onboarding and offboarding facilitator for the Sydney office and responds to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Who you are
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills. Known for being responsive, approachable and service oriented, you will confidently build connections with our team members and create collaborative working relationships that add value to the organisation. To be successful in this role you will have a strong eye for detail, coupled with a working knowledge of databases such as Salesforce, Sharepoint and Microsoft Office. You will be effective at prioritising and meeting deadlines and a willing learner able to work across a wide variety of activity.
