(Child & Family Information Referral and Support Team)
UMFC is a vibrant and diverse organisation dedicated to empowering vulnerable children and their families
We currently have a vacancy for the above full-time ongoing position based in Wodonga or Wangaratta.
The Child and Family Services (CAFS) team provide intake, assessment, onward referral and case work options to vulnerable children and their families.
Child FIRST is a centralised entry point for referrals and information about the support services offered within the local community. This information service is offered to families, community members and professionals through our dynamic Child FIRST practitioners.
This position forms part of the leadership group of UMFC’s Child and Family Services Program. The Team Leader is accountable for the frontline management and support of the Child FIRST team ensuring effective service delivery, staff supervision, co-ordination and training, internal and external relationship management and compliance with all legal and quality standards.
For this role it is essential that you have the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications – Social Work, Social Science, Welfare or equivalent;
- At least 3 years’ experience in child centred, family focused casework practice with vulnerable children and families;
- The demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and develop effective teams;
- Management or leadership qualifications will be advantageous;
