Wallaroo is a community house that aims to strongly engage with the local community, to understand and contribute to their educational, social and other needs. The Administration and Support Worker will provide consistent and pro-active support to the Coordinator, through first line reception, supporting triage as needed; supporting and troubleshooting the coordination of volunteers, facilities and services within the centre and high-quality records keeping and administration, to create a safe and welcoming environment.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Diploma level qualifications in a relevant field, such as community development, community services, administration or community education
Experience in administration and people support in a complex social services environment
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, including:
- Working with people with complex needs in a front-line role
- Written skills – reports, correspondence, records/data entry
- Oral skills – telephone work, liaison, consultation, negotiation, support to triage
- Advocacy and networking skills
A satisfactory Police Check
A current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
