About the role

A unique opportunity for the role of Business Manager at a fast paced, fast growing not-for-profit has become available. You will be helping ‘make hope real’ for WA blood cancer patients.

The Snowdome Foundation was formed in 2010 with a mission to accelerate next-generation treatments for Australian blood cancer patients to help them live longer, better lives. It aims to fast-track access to new blood cancer treatments by channeling government and private philanthropic investments into ground breaking research, clinical trials and personalised therapies.

In WA, there is an urgent need to expand blood cancer clinical trials so that WA blood cancer patients can receive next-generation treatment in WA.  This role will help make this a reality. We need a motivated and pro-active Business Manager who is able to work both autonomously as well as closely with a number of key stakeholders.

This is a part-time position (0.4 FTE) including up to 1-2 after hours meetings per month with home office as working base (one year contract with 6 month probation period).

Working closely with the Relationships Development Manager (RDM) in Melbourne, you will be required to:

  • Oversee implementation of the WA Key Stakeholder Management Plan, utilising Board Members, Executive and WA Steering Committee where required
  • Recommend and drive new relationship opportunities to grow Snowdome’s revenue and profile
  • Provide leadership and drive implementation for Snowdome WA fundraising events and educational and engagement events
  • With Snowdome Executive team, ensure CRM database is supporting the WA Key Stakeholder Management Plan
  • Develop key communication tools to engage WA key stakeholder relationship groups
  • Oversee WA budget

Key selection criteria:

  • Solid experience in managing relationships with individuals and senior internal stakeholders to ensure they engage with Snowdome Foundation
  • Demonstrate ability in building long-term relationships with individuals to meet specific goals
  • Project Management
  • Proficient in World, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience in not-for-profit environment, highly desired
