We are currently seeking enthusiastic women to join Launch Housing Women’s only team at our East St Kilda site in the role of After Hours Support Worker. The successful applicant will have the ability to juggle competing demands in a crisis setting with women who have significant issues requiring support such as AOD, mental health, trauma, disability, and homelessness.

 

The After Hours Support Worker role we have available are:

  • Permanent, part-time working 22.5 hours per fortnight including two sleepover shifts and one day shift on Saturday

 

Our East St Kilda site provides emergency accommodation only for people who identify as female and are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. This is one of the few homeless services in Victoria that employs and accommodates women only. We offer short term accommodation for up to 6 weeks, individual support, and advocacy services for women 18 years and over. This program focuses on supporting women in crisis to work towards a stable future.

To be successful in this role, you will be empathetic and enthusiastic about making a difference to women experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You will have experience working in an after-hours role in Crisis Accommodation and will be passionate to work and support some of the most vulnerable women in Victoria.
