About the role

Business Manager, Perinatal Wellbeing Centre

20 hours per week, permanent part-time

Opening hours 9:00 – 4:00 pm (includes occasional evening work)
SCHCADS Modern Award Level 7.1

Perinatal Wellbeing Centre (formerly PANDSI) provides support, information and referral services to women and their families who are affected by perinatal mental health issues.  Our services include regular telephone support, facilitated group support (sometimes with an exercise component), information groups and playgroups.  We also undertake community and health professional education.

We are seeking an energised and self-motivated individual to join our administration team to manage our busy, friendly office.  The purpose of this position is to ensure the business and financial systems of Perinatal Wellbeing Centre are well managed and enhance the organisation’s capacity to deliver our strategic plan.

The position has responsibility for the day-to-day administrative operations of Perinatal Wellbeing Centre.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated business management experience preferably with an understanding of the not-for-profit community sector and its compliance framework;
  • Proven track record in delivering and achieving organisational objectives and growth strategies;
  • Experience of continuous quality improvement processes ideally within the framework of meeting national standards;
  • Experience in/understanding of recruitment and management of volunteers;
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team;
  • Commitment to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence;
  • Excellent organisational skills with flexibility to prioritise a range of competing demands;
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality with knowledge of current Health Records (Privacy and Access) Act 1997 and Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and the Australian Privacy Principles;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.

 

Occasional evening event work may be required.

A Working with Vulnerable People registration is a requirement for all Perinatal Wellbeing Centre staff.
