The Bowness Family Foundation (BFF) is committed to supporting not for profit organisations that provide access and opportunity to enrich the culture, education and potential of our community. The Foundation supports projects in three key project areas: Arts & Culture, Disability & Communication and Education.

Since its inception, BFF has distributed significant grants, and is implementing a progressive and ambitious strategy which will see an increased focus on larger scale projects across their three key funding areas including advocacy.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners and collaborate broadly across government, education, the ‘for purpose’ sector and philanthropy.

Your ability to undertake and decipher research, develop briefs and prioritise recommendations will provide rigour to decision making and enhance BFF’s depth of knowledge. Exploring and connecting opportunities will be important to leverage BFF’s grants, advocating for significant change, to collaborate and share learnings.

Curiosity, sound judgement, attention to detail, initiative, and commitment to best practice philanthropy and grant-making, and alignment to BFF’s values and vision are essential. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications, proven financial skills, a sound understanding of public policy and the philanthropic sector, and experience working effectively with Boards.
