Irabina Autism Services specialises in delivering programs for children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. We are the largest Autism specific service in Australia and have been providing services for almost 50 years. We recognise that having Autism not only affects the child but affects the whole family and therefore all programs delivered are family centred. We work alongside families to provide Autism education and skills to assist the children and parents or carers on their journey. Our focus is to provide opportunities for toddlers to adolescents to become the best they can be.

 

Empowering Family-Centred Solutions

There is no group more powerfully placed to meet the needs of someone on the Autism Spectrum than their family – once the family understands what’s happening and how to deal differently with them. We work with families to build the knowledge, understanding and skills to help their special person learn, interact and develop.

 

Multi-Disciplined Expert Support

Autism is a complex set of developmental problems – so every person on the Autism Spectrum needs different help. Our specialist team includes speech therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers and special education teachers. They work with the family to develop programs and services tailored to their specific needs. Our focus is on the family, not just the individual. We recognise their strengths and needs and deliver programs and services in ways that support the family as a whole. The children, teenagers and adults who attend our programs receive the specialist services they need to develop and grow. Their families are supported with skills development and education opportunities so that they can help extend and reinforce the formal programs.

 

Irabina = Awakening

Irabina is Victoria’s largest specialist intervention service that transforms the lives of children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They are a non-profit Centre of Excellence delivering best practice therapy, support and education services to children and young people, families, professionals and community members for almost 50 years. Their mission is dedicated to transforming the lives of people and families living with Autism.

Reporting to the Executive Director Clinical Services, you will provide empowering leadership to a skilled, multidisciplinary team and be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations at Irabina’s Bayswater site, which runs a number of world-class behaviour services to help children and young people meet developmental milestones and participate in their communities. Customer service and stakeholder management will be a key focus as you build on Irabina’s growth and success and continue to foster a culture of service excellence.

You are a skilled and experienced people manager with experience in business management. You have a passionate commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You are highly regarded for your stakeholder management skills and your ability to engage with people at all levels. You are energetic and bring with you a strong commercial focus and dedication to achieving results. You have experience in a business providing clinical services. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in an organisation which has a powerful impact on young people and their families.
