We are seeking enthusiastic Case Managers to fill a housing support worker vacancy in our Drug Court Housing Support program (DCHS) here at our Collingwood site. DCHS is a partnership program between Launch Housing and the Department of Justice – Court Support Victoria. The program provides intensive housing support to clients who are sentenced to a Drug Treatment Order and are deemed most vulnerable; those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have complex support needs. DCHS provides targeted properties and support services.
The Case Manager role involves assertive outreach to clients in targeted properties in addition to those residing in crisis accommodation and relies heavily on effective collaboration with clients and external services.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, take accountability for their work outcomes and be able to form and maintain strong relationships, which are all essential ingredients to working collaboratively with clients and other organisations to achieve common goals. The successful candidate will also have outstanding time management skills with the ability to self-direct and work independently when needed. Experience working within the criminal justice system as well as working with vulnerable clients, who have multiple and complex needs will be highly regarded.
