About the role
About the opportunity
The Intake Worker is responsible for supporting women who have been affected by family violence. This includes conducting assessments of their safety, referring women exposed to Family Violence to appropriate services and the provision of partner contact.
Sitting within the broader Family Violence Intervention Program, the Family Safety Contact team supports the families of the men who attend the Men’s Behaviour Change Program.
About you
- Have a strong passion and commitment to working with family violence and supporting women who are experiencing violence from their partners.
- Possess a clear understanding of the feminist framework and how male privilege impacts on our current social structures.
- Have demonstrated experience in assessment and counselling.
- Hold an undergraduate degree in Social Work, Psychology or similar field.
