About the role
Doctors for the Environment Australia (DEA) is seeking an office manager who is passionate to help drive the next phase of its development in pursuit of its Mission, “Protecting health through care of the environment’.
The successful candidate will be committed to the environmental movement and use their broad range of skills to help expand DEA’s influence by assisting in its operational tasks and working closely with its volunteer base.
S/he will demonstrate commitment to social justice and protecting the environment. S/he will be able to effectively manage the administrative aspects of an environmental charitable organization and have the flexibility to expand the role with guidance as needed to aid in other aspects of the day to day running of the organization.
You will work alongside 2 other paid employees. They include a Communications and Media Coordinator (0.6 FTE) as well as an Executive Director (position in the process of being appointed).
Additionally you will work with our large volunteer base and a national Scientific Advisory Committee prominent of Australians and acknowledged scientific experts. There is oversight through our 12-member National board.

The position is full time and Melbourne based.
The duration is for one year initially with a performance review at 3 months. It is anticipated that the position will be ongoing.
