Who we are
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a not-for-profit organisation that works with partners to alleviate disadvantage – towards an Australia where all people and communities thrive. We influence systems to deliver better social outcomes for people by learning about what works in communities, helping organisations be more effective, sharing our perspectives and advocating for change.

This position supports both the Strategy & Advocacy team and the Marketing & Communications team. The Strategy & Advocacy team amplifies the work of SVA by leading our strategic policy and advocacy agenda, supporting scale ambitions and driving our knowledge informed impact agenda. The Marketing & Communications team drives brand and client engagement marketing. The team engages with a broad audience to build awareness of SVA and support relationships with key stakeholders, including consulting clients, philanthropic funders, government, service delivery organisations, social enterprises. The team is also responsible for communicating SVA’s systems change agenda, employing the full mix of marketing and communications channels including digital, events, media, PR, social media, and collateral.
  
The position
SVA has a fantastic full-time opportunity on offer for a talented individual interested in applying their Administrative and Team Coordination expertise. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, the scope of the position is wide-ranging, including supporting the Chief Strategy Officer and the team with day-to-day operations, providing diary and travel management, supporting finance processes and providing marketing and administration support across events, digital marketing and campaigns.

Who you are
If you are a pro-active individual with excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills, this is the role for you. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with experience in administrative management with proven ability to work across a wide variety of activity, including diary and travel management and supporting finance processes. You will come to the role with experience in prioritising and meeting deadlines, have a strong eye for detail, coupled with a working knowledge of databases such as Salesforce, SharePoint and Microsoft Office. This position provides exposure to an interesting scope of work in support of addressing disadvantage in Australia.
