Organisation Name : Eastern Domestic Violence Service (EDVOS)

Eastern Domestic Violence Service (EDVOS) is the specialist family violence service in the Eastern Metropolitan Region and covers the municipalities of Boroondara, Manningham, Whitehorse, Knox, Monash, Maroondah and Yarra Ranges.  Having a strong focus on safety, they provide an integrated range of support and services to empower women and children who have experienced and are responding to family violence. EDVOS has grown significantly in size and service profile over the last three years and will play a pivotal role in the East and Outer East Orange Doors over the next two years.

About the role

Reporting to the Chair of the Board, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the leadership and strategic development of the organisation as it continues a journey of change and transformation. Guided by a commitment to excellence and intersectional feminism principles, you will successfully manage and implement new service opportunities that have arisen from systems reform in Family Violence. With strong governance, financial and people leadership skills you will drive an agenda of continuous improvement and innovation; one that underpins future policy and advocacy development.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of leadership in the for-purpose sector. With exceptional change management skills, you will have successfully led the delivery of quality best practice services in a dynamic and rapidly shifting environment.  The ability to develop and foster a culture of high performance is critical, and you will have a commitment to feminist principles and values.  Excellent communication skills are essential, with the capacity to enhance trust and credibility as a key provider, building strong and influential relationships with government and stakeholders across multiple sectors.  Formal qualifications in a related field are essential and a further qualification in business administration would be highly desirable.
