About the role
Birchip Cropping Group (BCG) invites Expressions of Interest from individuals for appointment to the Board as a co-opted specialist to join the six farmer directors and three other specialists.
Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience on boards and knowledge in Agronomy, Research and trial work particularly in the grains industry. Connections with the commercial sector, higher education or precision agriculture communities may be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking are required as well as the ability to work cooperatively with other Board members. This is a rare opportunity to join a well established and successful research and extension organisation.

BCG is a national leader in farmer driven, agronomic research and extension. BCG is focused on improving the prosperity of Australian broad acre farmers through independent, science-based research and extension and assisting farmers to face new challenges and on ensuring that the sector can thrive as a vibrant primary industry.
It is a not for profit, member based organisation based in the Victorian Wimmera Mallee region.
