About the role
We’re looking for someone with a tertiary qualification (at a minimum a Diploma) in allied health or early childhood education, or a related discipline such as psychology, speech pathology or occupational therapy. Importantly, you will be someone who demonstrates empathy and a belief that making change is possible. We want to ensure you’re successful in this role and, to do that, you’ll have a minimum of one year experience partnering with fa milies with children aged 0-6 with developmental delays or disabilities.
What you’ll be doing
Your role will be to assess a child’s needs, making recommendations about supports to help the child achieve their goals and participate in daily activities at home and in the community. This may include undertaking outreach work in family homes, identifying appropriate referral pathways, developing a plan that meets NDIA guidelines and developing evidence based short to medium term interventions appropriate to the needs of the child and family.
Who you’ll be working with
You will be part of a transdisciplinary team working with families with children 0 to 6 years old with a developmental delay or disability.
