About the role:
Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking a dynamic, collaborative and experienced Evaluation Lead to drive the organisational evaluation program.
This is a fabulous opportunity for an experienced evaluator to strengthen our evaluation and outcomes approach and help us grow our evaluation capacity and culture. You will be responsible for leading our evaluation portfolio, steering key strategic projects and providing targeted advice and ongoing support to senior leaders and other staff.
The role is critical to making evidence-based policy, service design and delivery a reality at VLA, and is responsible for driving improvement across the organisation in the collection and use of evidence, establishing robust frameworks tailored to our context, and building staff commitment, knowledge and skills at all levels.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for purposeful, useful and used evaluations, strong problem-solving skills, and an enthusiasm for sharing your evaluation knowledge with others.
You will have extensive professional experience in monitoring and evaluating programs and projects in the not-for-profit/ community, government, and/or legal sectors, with particular skills in practical evaluation methods for use in busy organisations. Critical to your success will be your highly developed leadership skills and ability to foster collaborative and influential relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will also demonstrate strong coaching and facilitation skills, and an ability to engage staff and build their capacity in monitoring and evaluation approaches.
