About the opportunity
The Kinship Care Case Worker will work in partnership with kinship carers, children and young people, birth parents, extended family and professionals stakeholders to strengthen the carers’ capacity to provide a safe and stable environment which nurtures child development. This role will predominantly focus on providing Contracted and First Supports services to Kinship Care placements, with an emphasis on promoting placement preservation and supporting children, young people and their carers.
About you
You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding out-of-home care placements and services, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will create positive and collaborative relationships within a team environment to deliver programs focused on creating long lasting change and positive outcomes. A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare Work or Social Sciences, or less formal qualifications with significant industry experience would be highly advantageous.
