About the role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for ensuring the appropriate financial management and operation of all funds as well as meeting our compliance and legislative obligations. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Regular financial analysis and reporting including management accounts;
  • Financial planning, forecasting and budgeting;
  • Investment accounting and related processes;
  • Liaising with external auditors and maintaining appropriate internal control frameworks; and
  • Other financial processes including accounts payable and receivable, grant payments, payroll and bank reconciliation etc.

The successful candidate will come with a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or commerce with a CA/CPA or equivalent accreditation. Experience working within the not-for-profit or philanthropic sector will be a distinct advantage. A strong understanding of relevant financial obligations, regulations and legislation will be essential along with the ability to develop good relationships and work effectively within a team environment. The successful candidate will need to work to tight time frames whilst managing multiple tasks and competing priorities so good time management and organisational skills will be important.
