About the role

The Australian Institute of Family Studies is seeking an experienced Research Proposal Coordinator to manage the development and submission of high-quality tenders and proposals to a variety of funding agencies.

About the Role
This role will lead and coordinate the development of research proposals from inception to submission. The role involves:
• Identifying research ad funding opportunities;
• Working with, and supporting, the internal research teams to develop high quality proposals;
• Contributing substantively to proposals as required;
• Co-ordinating, preparing and quality assuring project cost estimates, and
• Coordinating handover of successful proposals to research teams
The role is located within the Strategy and Business Development team and reports to the Strategy and Business Development Manager.
This role is offered on a part-time or full-time non-ongoing (temporary) basis of up to 18 months initially with the possibility of extension to three years, at APS6/EL1 levels with a salary range of $79,678 to $109,475 per annum (full-time equivalent).
Requirements
The role requires:
• Demonstrated knowledge of the family and social policy landscape in Australia
• Demonstrated knowledge of social science and evaluation research designs and ability to think creatively
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Excellent business writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in tight timeframes.
• Sound Word and Excel skills
• Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field (desirable)
